My Top 5 Favorite Guns

In this post I will be counting down my top 5 favorite guns in Modern Warfare!

5. )  ACR - This gun is a great mid-to-long range weapon of choice.  I used just this gun for at least 2 whole prestige's!  It used to be my favorite gun for such a long time but I have not used it very much lately.  But it still deserves a spot in my top 5.

4. )  Famas - The Famas is a 3-shot burst assault rifle.  Great for long range shots.  One thing that is needed to be good with this gun is terrific accuracy.  You can shoot one 3 shot burst into an enemy and get the kill!  That is all it takes! I love the power and accuracy of this gun.

3. )  Tar-21 - The Tar-21 is a relatively new gun that I like the use!  This gun is so powerful it can kill with just 2 bullets if using FMJ.  I use the Tar-21 a lot in Search and Destroy matches because it is so powerful and accurate even with a silencer.  This gun also looks sick with fall cameo on it, even though I don't have it.  Although this gun isn't my top favorite I certainly love using the Tar-21.

2. )  Intervention - The Intervention is the best sniper rifle in the game!  And I absolutely love this gun!  Quick scoping with the Intervention gives me such a great feeling.  If you ever get a nice quick scope shot with the Intervention if you know how great it feels.  If you think you can beat me in 1v1, just leave a comment and challenge me!

1. )  UMP-45 -  The Ump  is by the far the best gun in the game!  Put a silencer on it and use the marathon perk and you are now a killing machine.  Use it in Search, Domination, Demolition, Team Death, Free-For-All, use it in any game mode and I promise you, you WILL GET KILLS!!!  It is by far my favorite gun in the game.  Even though you can't really see the cameos on it, it is still a sick gun.  The power on that gun is astonishing.  If you want to get loads and loads of kills, us the UMP.

New Map Pack Coming Soon!

In case you guys haven’t heard the first pack for Modern Warfare 2 comes out March 30th. I’m still a little unsure about the pack, but I’ll give you guys as much info as I can and let you decide if you want it. First off, the map pack has 5 maps for 1200 Microsoft points. The maps included 2 “classic” maps from the first Modern Warfare: Crash and Overgrown. The 3 new maps are called Bailout, Storm, and Salvage. From what I know, Bailout is to be based around an apartment complex with lots of flanking positions, Storm an abandoned warehouse in a raging thunderstorm and Salvage, a snowy map placed in a derelict junkyard. Honestly, it just sounds like they are combining different aspects of maps that have already been made. None of the maps really excite me. However, I will still probably buy the pack to test it out and give you guys some feedback. Let me know what you think!

Wanna Level Up?

Having trouble leveling up?  Want to get to level 70, 10th prestige fast and easy (without cheating)?  Then I have a few suggestions for you.  Play Search and Destroy!!!  You get 500 points per kill and 1000 points for a headshot!!  It is fairly simple to get levels fast playing Search.  Although I would not recommend this if you aren't very good at it.  If you can average about 5 kills per game then I say give it a try.  Anything less than that either work on your skills or choose another game mode.  Anything more than that, what are you waiting for?  Go into a leveling frenzy!!  For those people who choose not play Search and Destroy, then try your luck with a game of Demolition.  It is actually a very great way to earn levels faster than you think.  You can get many kills and you also get a BIG match bonus.  And you get a match bonus after every round and there are 2 to 3 rounds.  Demolition is a great way to level up!

Care Package Glitch Patched

As of right now the infinite care package glitch has been patched.  Sorry to all of you infinite care packagers out there.  You will just have to try to figure out a new way to do it.

For all of you who are wondering the care package glitch is still not patched.  There have been a few patches to try to get rid of it but people have found new and improved ways of doing it.

Unlimited Care Package Glitch

I am sure that by now everybody has used or has seen someone use the unlimited care package glitch.  It is a very fun glitch where you can keep on getting care packages forever.  This glitch can be very annoying when used against you.  I will admit that I have used it a few times myself, but only to check it out.  Personally I prefer to play the real way by getting kills myself, but for those of you who like the glitch here is a link bringing you to a video showing you exactly how to do it.

DLC maps

There is going to be some new DLC maps for Modern Warfare 2 avaliable in spring of this year.  From what I have read the maps will be DLC exclusively for Xbox 360.  Some of the maps are said to be maps from previous Call of Duty games, most likely Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.  Look for these maps in the future.  Post your favorite map from Call of Duty 4 that you would like to be broguht into Modern Warfare 2 in the comments.

Best SMG Gun

Is it the UMP?  How about the P90?  Or maybe even the Vector?  What is your opinion on the Sub Machine Guns?

Here is a list of different attributes of each gun.  Listed from best to worst (highest to lowest).

Highest Accuracy - UMP and Vector (tied), P90 and Mini-Uzi (tied), MP5K
Most Damage - UMP, MP5K, P90 and Mini-Uzi (tied), Vector
Range - All the same
Fire Rate - Vector, P90, Mini-Uzi, MP5K, UMP
Mobility - All the same
Mag Size - P90 (50 rounds), Mini-Uzi and UMP (tied at 32 rounds), MP5k and Vector (tied at 30 rounds)

Personally, I think that the UMP is the best Sub Machine Gun.  Post your favorite SMG in the comments.\ below.

Predator Missle vs Sentry Gun

Which is the better 5 kill streak reward?  Which do you prefer?  I will give you the good things and the bad things about each and you can decide!

Predator Missile

• One time killing opportunity
• Averages 1-2 kills (more if you get lucky)
• Sometimes hard to find people while coming down
• Call in instantly
• Self controlled
• You can be killed on the ground
• Can destroy other kill streak rewards such as Harrier Strikes and Pave Lows

Sentry Gun

• Multiple chances to kill enemies if placed correctly
• Averages 1-3 kills (possibly more if placed in a good spot)
• Have to call it in through and air drop package
• Generally are destroyed fairly fast
• Runs automatically
• Sometimes has a hard time killing people

So you be the judge!  I like to use Predator Missiles personally, but you may prefer the Sentry Gun!  Try it for yourself and see.

Sniping Tips #2

Hitting a moving target while sniping can always be tricky.  I am here to give you a few tips to moving that enemy runner.  First of all, make sure that you are stationary.  If you are trying to hit a moving target while you are moving, chances are you won't.  So once you are stationary line up your target and use very steady movements to move your cross hairs.  You always have to be following your target as best you can.  If you miss your first shot keep on following and don't give up.  If you have noticed the crosshairs will move back to center for a split second during recoil.  Try to time your second shot during that time.  If so you should be able to hit your target. 

Another thing is to make sure that you are using steady aim pro.  With steady aim pro you will be able to hold your breath for a longer time therefore giving you a longer time to shoot your target.  So the key things are, use slow and steady movements with your cross hairs, make sure you aren't moving, and use steady aim pro.

Attack Helicopter VS Harrier Strike

Which killstreak reward is better?  That is the question at hand.  Most people tend to prefer the Harrier as oppose to Attack Heli, but I am here to give you the pros and cons of each.  You be the judge!

Attack Helicopter

• Poor movement patterns
• Averages 1-3 kills if you are lucky
• No airstrike before the gunner
• Harder to shoot down due to the way it moves around a lot
• Gunner is not very accurate or deadly

Harrier Strike

• Airstrike before the gunner
• Averages 2-5 kills
• Shoots down other killstreak rewards
• Rotates in place for 360 degrees of killing :)
• Very accurate gunner
• You pick where to place it

You decide which is better.  Most people pick Harrier Strike but you can use whatever you like.  This post was suggested by Thug_4_Go.  Thanks!

Pave Low vs Harrier Strike

Many people have been debating over which killstreak reward is better, the Pave Low or Harrier.  I am here to give you the pros and cons of each killstreak reward and I will let you decide for yourself which is better.

Pave Low

• Takes 9 kills to get
• Usually lasts longer than Harrier
• Averages about 5-10 kills
• Very hard to shoot down
• Moves around more

Harrier Strike

• Takes 7 kills to get
• Does not last as long as Pave Low
• Averages about 2-5 kills
• Easily shot down
• You can get airstrike kills
• Does not move around

You decide on which killstreak is better.  Personally I prefer the Pave Low :)

Nuke Setup #4

I have been trying out odd combinations of killstreak rewards to get a tactical nuke and have found one to be not that bad.  Sentry Gun (5 kills), Pave Low (9 kills), Tactical Nuke (25 kills) is the combination.  Yes it probably sounds stupid but it surprisingly isn't too bad.  Once you reach a sentry gun place it in a high traffic area and make sure it can't get destroyed easily.  If placed correctly you will easily be able to get a pave low.  Pave lows seem to only be effective one out of two times.  Hopefully it will be effective and rack up the kills for you.  Also, if you are getting kills on the ground yourself you have a pretty good chance of getting the coveted tactical nuke.  Try it out for yourself and see if it works for you.
